Jogging Log

I haven't posted on her much so I've decided to use it as a journal to track my jogging/weight loss progress.


Louie's Jogging Log

*Weight checked in the morning after waking up

**Distance before Day 5 is google maps…Thereafter is GPS watch. I dunno how accurate or not it is, but it gives me something to compare each run to.


Day 1 - Aug 10th 2009

Miles: 1.5

Weight: 181.3lbs (Back from vacation ugh….)

Tough. Tight calves. Sore back…. This is gonna suck.


Day 2 - Aug 11th 2009

Miles: 3.4

Ran with my brother…It was pretty easy, but had tight calves again. Thinking its my shoes.


Day 3 - Aug 18th 2009

Miles: 2.4

Not bad. It was kinda hard, but had worse


Day 4 - Aug 19th 2009

Miles: 1.5

Really hard run. Had a tough time keeping myself going. Slow 1.5mi 12:10


Day 5 - Aug 21st 2009

Miles: 1.5

Time: 11:00

First running using Garmin GPS watch running with a virtual trainer. It sucked. It told me to go faster, but I was already running as fast as I could. Blah! Well I made the goal time I set of under 7:30 for 1 mile.


Day 6 - Aug 24th 2009

Miles: 1.38

Time: 11:38

Decided to take it pretty easy this time.


Day 7 - Aug 27th 2009

Miles: 3.03

Time: 27:28

…Yea I don't really know…


Day 8 - Aug 31st 2009

Miles: 3.04

Time: 34:30

This time is slower than the others because I took it at 1/2mi intervals with 20 pushups and 20 sit-ups in-between each. At this point it seems like my calves weren't used to running. No more pain and the runs don't seem so bad. *** Today starts my eating healthier diet.


Day 9 - Sept 1st 2009

Run#: 1

Miles: 3.01

Time: 27:46

Run#: 2

Miles: 2.56

Time: 21.53

Weight: 175.4lbs

So after this run I was feeling really good. It was a run in the light rain and it wasn't painful. I listened to the song 'Gee' the entire time. It felt so good that I decided to start running twice a day excluding weekends, I know that twice on Friday might be tough since we usually hang out with the cousins towards the afternoon. Afternoon run I listened to the same thing HAHA.. Some progress on the weight.


Day 10 - Sept 2nd 2009

Run #: 1

Miles: 2.01

Time: 17:41

Run #: 2

Miles: 3.0

Time: 25:36

Again I ran to the same song. Cousins say its my get hype song, but its probably because I can picture someone in my head when I listen to it =). I didn't run 3mi on my first run because I was wearing all black and the sun was shining. On run #2 I sprinted the last 1/2 at a time of 3:16; of course the start of that 1/2mi was easy then towards the end I really had to push myself. Afterwards I felt pretty good.
